According to Voignier, Lucien Emile Marie Bondonneau was born at Patay in 1839. Active during the 1860s and 1870s, he operated a studio first at 173 Gallerie de Valois, Palais Royal, before taking over Alexandre Ken's studio at 10 boulevard Montmartre.
