Georgiana Anne Newcome

Born at Courteenhall House in Northamptonshire in 1837 or 1838, Georgiana Anne Newcome was the second daughter of Henry Newcome and his wife Cecilia née Wake.

Her father died at Meran in the Austrian Tyrol (today Merano in the Italian Tyrol) on 7 May 1849, when Georgie was 11 years old.

1n 1871 she was living at 5 Atlingworth Street, off Marine Parade in Brighton, with her older unmarried sister Jenny and their widowed mother, Cecilia Newcome. The household included two servants, both female.

Cecilia and Georgiana never married; they lived at this address with their mother until her death, aged 88, in 1896 and then until their own deaths, in 1909 and 1923 respectively.

Georgiana Anne Newcome died at 5 Atlingworth Street on 17 January 1909, leaving an estate valued at £23,227.
