Charles Daly as 'Gooseberry Green'

A carte-de-visite portrait of the actor (later actor-manager) Charles Daly.

From an album of theatrical portraits compiled by the sitter during the 1860s.

According to an inked inscription on the album page, he is seen here dressed as 'Gooseberry Green' in 'London Town.' I can find no trace of the production or the character.
