St Mark's Church, Ampfield

A carte-de-visite showing the interior of St Mark's Church at Ampfield in Hampshire.

Reverend John Frewen Moor was the incumbent here for over forty years, until increasing age and diminishing eyesight forced him to retire in 1895.

Looking at photos of the church today, nothing much has changed. The Neo-Gothic light fixtures have gone, sadly, but the pulpit and tester are still there, as are the altar rail, lectern, pews and reredos.
