A German bowler

A carte-de-visite portrait of an unidentified man posing with a bowling ball. Given the location, and the fact that this portrait is one of a series of at least ten from the same studio, the man is possibly a member of a student fraternity. This might also explain the somewhat eccentric costume worn by all the sitters in the different portraits.
