Young men with waterwheel

Young men with waterwheel

A carte-de-visite showing a group of young men, many in their shirt sleeves, turning a large metal wheel or pump. The man kneeling on the left appears to be turning some sort of stopcock. The tall, dark-skinned boy standing near him appears to be of Indian or Singhalese origin.

Photographed by G. and J. Hall of Wakefield.
