William Orme Foster was the proprietor of the Madeley Court Iron Works in Staffordshire. He lived at Apley Park near Bridgnorth in Shropshire. In 1843 he married Isabella, daughter of Henry Grazebrook Esq. of Liverpool. From 1857 to 1868 he sat as Member of Parliament (Lib.) for Staffordshire South.
