Unidentified man and his dog

Unidentified man and his dog

A late nineteenth-century portrait of similar dimensions to a standard cabinet card showing a young man with his dog, which I think is a Beagle. The dog is seated on a chair and the young man is standing next to him, his hand placed proudly, affectionately and proprietorially on the dog’s neck.

Photographed by Brown of Kenosha [Wisconsin].
