A carte-de-visite portrait of a high-ranking prelate of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The photographer is Bezenberg [or Wesenberg, depending on how you transliterate the Cyrillic] of St Petersburg, identified recto on the mount in the lower margin and by his studio’s backplate on the reverse of the mount.
