Three Russian comrades

Three Russian comrades

A cabinet card portrait of three young Russians reading a newspaper. The newspaper's name may be transliterated as 'Tovarishch,' a word which is usually translated as 'Comrade.' Presumably its bias was Bolshevik or Marxist and the three people posing with it were revolutionaries.

Photographed by N. Z. Dinaburga of Hadiach (sometimes spelled Hadyach, Gadyach, Gadiach, or Hadziacz) in the central-eastern part of Ukraine.
