Ramsgate beach

A topographical carte-de-visite showing huge crowds of day trippers, most of them fully dressed, on the sands at Ramsgate in Kent. Rows of bathing machines are lined up at the water's edge. On the land side of the beach, there's a large temporary structure with a sign advertising 'Twyman's Sea Side Studio' painted on its side.
