A carte-de-visite portrait of Princess Mary Adelaide and Prince Francis, the Duke and Duchess of Teck, seen here with three of their four children - and a goat cart.

Princess Mary Adelaide was a granddaughter of King George III and therefore a first cousin to Queen Victoria. Her eldest child, Princess Victoria May, is better known as Queen Mary, the Queen Consort of King George V.

Entered at Stationers' Hall on 23 January 1871. The description reads: 'Photograph group of Prince Teck standing, Princess Teck kneeling beside a baby carriage with two children sitting in it, one child standing beside it'.'
