Prince George of Wales


A carte-de-visite portrait of Prince George, the second son of the Prince and Princess of Wales. After the death of his elder brother Prince Albert Victor in 1892, he became second in line to the throne. On the death of his grandmother Queen Victoria in 1901 his father became King and he became the Prince of Wales. On the death of his father in 1910 he became King George V.
