Mrs G. W. Muriel


Born Susan (sometimes Susanna) Lynn in or about 1836, her father was Edward Lynn of Runcorn in Lancashire.

In 1859 she married William George Muriel of Wickham Market in Suffolk, a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons and later an Ensign in the 5th Suffolk Rifle Volunteer Corps. The marriage produced three children.

After the death of her first husband in 1870, on 3 April 1872 Susan married Manchester silk manufacturer Richard Hampson Joynson of Bowden in the county of Chester. This marriage produced one daughter.

Mrs Susan Joynson died in 1896, aged 60, and was buried on 10 June 1896 at Bowden in Cheshire.
