Mrs Charles Snepp


A carte-de-visite portrait of Mrs Charles Snepp, wife of Charles Busbridge Snepp, for many years the Vicar of Perry Barr near Birmingham.

Born Julia Anne Winfield in or about 1831 at Edgbaston in Warwickshire, she married the new Vicar of Perry Barr in 1852. The marriage produced one daughter, Emily Fawkner Winfield Snepp, born in 1865. The family appear on the 1871 census, living at Perry Villa in Perry Barr. Mrs Snepp had a governess and eight servants, including a coachman, to help her run her household.

Mrs Snepp died in 1890, at the age of 60.
