Mowing

An unusual carte-de-visite showing a housemaid mowing the grass beside a garden path.

Presumably the photograph was taken by the owner of the house. it would have been very odd for someone to go to the trouble of getting a photographer to leave his studio and visit a house just to take a photograph of the maid!
