Mlle Nathan

Mlle Nathan

The sitter is identified by a pencilled inscription in a period hand on the reverse of the mount. Disdéri's fifth catalogue, published on 15 March 1861, mentions a Mlle. Nathan of the Opéra under Artistes dramatiques.

In 1860 she danced the part of ‘a shepherdess’ in the ballet Les Amours de Diana, performed in the second act of Prince Poniatowski’s opera Pierre de Médicis.

Photographed by A. A. E. Disdéri.
