Miss Nina Bradshaw


Nina Bradshaw was born in Florence on 11 June 1844, the daughter of Englishman John Bradshaw and his Irish wife Mary. In 1870 she married a prominent Roman Catholic Canadian by the name of Remigius Elmsley (1841-1910), the groom settling on his new wife a life income of $2430 a year. The marriage was registered in the district of Warwick in England. The following year the couple were living in Toronto, where the first of their eleven children was born. Mrs Nina Elmsley died in Toronto on 23 August 1930, aged 86.
