A carte-de-visite portrait of Miss Margaret Bircham (1842-1867), later Mrs Marwood Tucker.

Margaret Ann Bircham was born in 1842, the second daughter of solicitor Francis Thomas Bircham and his wife Katherine. She was baptised on 12 October 1842 at St Andrew's in Holborn.

On 13 August 1862, at St Peter's Church in Hersham in Surrey, she married Marwood Tucker of Lincoln's Inn, son of Marwood Tucker (1804-1894), Rector of Widworthy in Devon.

A son, Charles Marwood Tucker, was born at 109 Belgrave Road in Pimlico on 7 October 1864.

Mrs Margaret Tucker died, aged only 24, at Cannes on 19 March 1867 (Exeter and Plymouth Gazette, 22 March 1867).
