Miss Alice Lisle Phillipps

Identified on the album page as ‘Miss Alice Lisle Phillipps,' this is Alice (originally Alicia) Mary Elizabeth Lisle March Phillipps. Her father was Ambrose Lisle March Phillipps and her mother was Laura Maria Clifford. In 1863 her father legally changed his name to Ambrose Lisle March Phillipps de Lisle. On 22 April 1873 Alice married the Honourable Arthur Strutt, son of Edward Strutt, 1st Baron Belper. He died on 6 February 1877, at the age of 34.

The Honourable Alice Mary Elizabeth Lisle Strutt died, aged 85, in Bournemouth on 31 March 1926.
