Mary and Kate

A carte-de-visite portrait of two small girls. According to a pencilled inscription verso in a period hand these are 'Mary, born Oct 29th 1864' and 'Kate, born March 1st 1866.'

An inked inscription below this reads: 'Taken in October 1870.'
