Madame Pernetty

Born Valentine Haussmann, her father was the city planner Baron Haussmann, the prefect of the Seine Department chosen by Napoléon III to oversee a massive programme of pubic works in Paris during the Second Empire.

On 23 February 1865 Valentine married Joseph-Marie, vicomte de Pernetty. The couple were legally separated on 21 June 1883 and divorced in January 1887. In February 1894 she married M. Georges Raynouard. She died in 1898, leaving a son by her first marriage, Charles-Eugène-Marie-Didier Pernetty, born at Neuilly-sur-Seine on 27 June 1867, who died in an accident at sea in 1910.
