Lennox Grey

The actress Lennox Grey (née Louisa Caulfield) was the daughter of musical parents. Grey was her first married name, and she had others. She later became Mrs Leonard, then later still, Mrs Gibson. Her professional career was blighted by the demon drink, and she apparently died in the Edmonton workhouse, but not before she had gone out on a binge with another inmate, having persuaded some money out of an old admirer, and returned married yet again.

Photographed by Elliott and Fry of 55 Baker Street, London.
