Lady Walter Scott

Born Anna Maria Cradock-Hartopp in or about 1838, she was the fourth daughter of Sir William Edmund Cradock-Hartopp, 3rd Bart.

On 7 October 1858 she married Lord Walter Charles Montagu-Douglas-Scott (1834-1895), a son of Walter Montagu-Douglas-Scott (1806-1894), 5th Duke of Buccleuch. The marriage produced four children. In 1856 Lord Walter Scott was appointed a Captain in the 15th Dragoons. In 1863 he transferred to the Midlothian. He died at Boughton House, Northamptonshire, on 3 March 1895 at the age of 61.

Lady Walter Scott died on 29 May 1886, aged 48. The death was registered in the district of St George’s, Hanover Square.
