Lady Clermont


A carte-de-visite portrait of Lady Clermont.

Born Lady Louisa Grace Wandesford Butler, daughter of James Butler, Marquess of Ormonde, and Grace Louisa née Staples. On 26 September 1840 she married Thomas Fortescue, 3rd Lord Clermont (1815-1887). On 1 February 1852, her husband obtained a revival of the Irish Barony of Clermont. He was made a peer of the United Kingdom on 2 May 1866 as Baron Clermont.

Lady Clarmont died on 8 November 1896.
