Edward Carlile Willoughby appears on the 1861 census living at 4 Bedford Square, Bloomsbury, a practising barrister living with his widowed mother, younger brother, and twelve-year-old sister. He gave Bloomsbury as his place of birth. He died in the June ¼ of 1886 and the death was registered in the St Giles district of London, which encompasses Bedford Square.
