Charles Foster Barham (fourth son of Thomas Foster Barham of Penzance, Cornwall 1766-1844). Born Truro 9 March 1804; educated at Queen's College, Cambridge; foundation scholar May 1823; studied in Paris and Italy 1825-1828; M.B. Cambridge 1827, M.D. 1860; physician Tavistock dispensary 1832-1835; physician at Truro August 1837 to death; senior physician Royal Cornwall infirmary 1838-1873; president Royal Institute of Cornwall 1859-1862; mayor of Truro 1862; author of Report on sanitary state of the labouring classes in the town of Truro (1842) and of many papers on meteorology and other subjects in Reports and Journal of Royal Institute of Cornwall and other publications. Died 11 Strangeways Terrace, Truro, Cornwall 20 October 1884.
