Commodore Nutt and Minnie Warren


A carte-de-visite portrait of Commodore Nutt (born George Washington Morrison Nutt) and Minnie Warren (born Huldah Pierce Warren Bump). In 1863 the two were best man and bridesmaid at the wedding of General Tom Thumb and Minnie’s sister, Lavinia.

Minnie later married another dwarf, Edmund Newell. She died in childbirth on 23 July 1878 and was buried in Nemasket Hill Cemetery, Middleborough [Massachusetts].
