Charles Robert Alexander was born on 8 November 1847, the second son of the East India merchant James Alexander and Anna Maria Julia née Dalison. Charles appears on the 1881 census living at 12 Devonshire Street in London, the home of his parents. He gave ‘Member [of the] Stock Exchange’ as his profession. He died on 17 February 1902.

Evelyn Ferguson Alexander was born on 23 March 1850 at Boan Hall in Londonderry, the third son of James Alexander and Anna Maria Julia née Dalison. He graduated from Oxford and was ordained. By 1881 he had become the Vicar of St. Paul’s, Walworth. He died on 24 February 1887.
