Buckingham Palace

One half of a stereoview showing Edward Blore's East Front of Buckingham Palace, completed in 1850. The current façade dates from 1913, when Sir Aston Webb redesigned Blore's East Front to resemble in part Giacomo Leoni's Lyme Park in Cheshire. This new, refaced façade of Portland stone was designed to be the backdrop to the Victoria Memorial.
