Bishop of Verdun

Born in 1809, Augustin Hacquard was ordained priest in 1833. In 1867 he was appointed Bishop of Verdun, a post he filled until his death on 31 May 1884. He was one of the Council Fathers at the First Vatican Council in 1870.
