Barricade on the Place de la Concorde

Barricade on the Place de la Concorde

An albumen print showing barricades on the streets of Paris, on the edge of the Place de la Concorde where the square meets the rue de Rivoli. The photograph dates either from the Siege of Paris during the Franco-Prussian War, or, more likely, from the days of the Paris Commune.

Photographed by Alphonse Liébert of Paris.
