Arthur Rotton as 'Widow Twankey'

Arthur Rotton as he appeared in a burlesque of Aladdin staged by a group of amateurs at Canterbury around 1863.

Arthur Rotton appears on the 1871 census as a Captain commanding 'D' Battery of the 14th Brigade of the Royal Artillery. He was born at Bath in Somerset in or about 1832.
