Photographed by John Pattison Gibson of Hexham in Northumberland.

Gibson appears on the 1871 census living at Bank Head House ('or 15 Hale Gate') with his wife Elizabeth and their three young daughters. He was born in Newcastle-on-Tyne in 1838. For his profession, he gave 'Photographer employing 1 boy / & Partner in Chemist & Druggist.' He died on 12 April 1912, aged 74, leaving effects valued at £17,710.
