A sergeant of the Black Watch


A cabinet card portrait of a Sergeant in the 42nd (Royal Highland) Regiment of Foot, also known as the Black Watch. He is wearing Highland dress with the Egypt Medal and the Khedive's Star pinned to his left breast. On his sleeve he's sporting skill-at-arms badges for Signaller's Instructor and Musketry Best Shot.
