A girl from Sorrento

A girl from Sorrento

An attractive woman wearing the traditional costume of her region. According to an inked inscription verso in a period hand, the woman is from ‘Sorente’, presumably meaning Sorrento in southern Italy.

Photographed by Sommer and Behls of Naples and Rome.
